Editorial Policy

BetClever was founded with one goal: to provide the most accurate, transparent and useful football betting tips available online. This page explains exactly how our tips and predictions are produced, reviewed and published, so you can make informed decisions about how you use our content.

Our Prediction Algorithm

At the heart of BetClever is a proprietary football prediction algorithm developed and refined over more than 16 years. The algorithm analyses a wide range of statistical data for each match, including:

  • Recent form for both home and away teams
  • Head-to-head historical records
  • Goals scored and conceded across multiple time periods
  • Clean sheet and both-teams-to-score rates
  • Home and away performance splits
  • League position and points trajectories
  • Market-specific metrics for over/under goals, correct score and other markets

The algorithm processes this data to generate probability scores and confidence ratings for each prediction across all supported markets.

Tipster Review and Verification

Algorithm outputs are reviewed by our team of experienced tipsters before publication. Our tipsters have a combined experience of over 16 years in football betting analysis. Their role is to apply qualitative judgement — such as team news, injuries, motivation and fixture context — that statistical models alone cannot capture. A tip is only published when both the algorithm output and the tipster review are in agreement.

Editorial Independence

Our tips and predictions are produced entirely independently of our commercial relationships. Affiliate partnerships with bookmakers have no bearing on which tips are selected or published. No bookmaker or third party can pay to have their odds or markets featured in our tips. Our editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of predicted value and statistical confidence.

Transparency and Track Record

We maintain a public record of our tip performance across all markets. We do not selectively publish only winning tips or hide losing runs. Our results pages reflect the full picture, and we encourage users to evaluate our track record before making any betting decisions based on our content.

Corrections and Updates

If an error is made in a published tip — for example an incorrect kick-off time, odds or team detail — we correct it as quickly as possible and note the amendment on the relevant page. Substantive changes to published content are always clearly flagged.

Responsible Tip Publishing

We do not publish tips that encourage irresponsible gambling behaviour, such as tips on extremely high-risk markets presented without appropriate context. All published tips carry an implicit reminder that betting involves risk and that past performance does not guarantee future results.
