Wales to Win and Both Teams to Score (5/1)
Wales go into this game against the Czech Republic knowing that only a win will be good enough. With manager Ryan Giggs on extended bail until May following an allegation of assault, his Welsh side face their own battle to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar in 2022.
An opening game defeat to Belgium was hardly unexpected, but having led the game, Gareth Bale and company will be frustrated not to have got anything out of the game. Beating the Czech Republic is therefore vital and we think Wales will get the job done, despite the continued enforced absence of their wonderful fans.
Gareth Bale, over halfway through his loan at Tottenham from Real Madrid knows that international games where he has more of a free role are a great platform for him to showcase his skills on the pitch. While this will propel the Welsh to victory, their defence is leaky and we can see the home side conceding while eventually prevailing.
Kaan Ayhan to Score as Turkey beat Latvia (13/2)
Turkey have started their qualification campaign like a train, beating Holland 4-2 and thrashing Norway 3-0. Score bagfuls of goals from all sources make Turkey a dangerous side and even Leicester City central defender Çaglar Soyüncü notched in the last game. We think everyone will want to get in on the act against minnows Latvia.
One player who has already scored a recent goal for his country in France late last year is Kaan Ayran. He’s a great price to repeat the trick on the way to beating weak opposition. Priced at around 5/1 in most places, you’ll want to get on Paddy’s odds quickly for this one.
Montenegro Half-Time/Norway Full-Time (20/1)
A difficult to predict game in the same group will see Norway hope to make up for that defeat at home to Turkey with a win on the road in Montenegro. With players such as Erling Haaland in the Norwegian attack, no-one would rule out an away win, but Montenegro score a lot of goals too and come into the game on the back of a 4-1 win at home, albeit facing Gibraltar.
Montenegro could well take advantage of a shell-shocked Norwegian side early on but, eventually, we think class will tell and would back Norway to get a comeback victory in the second half. They’re spectacular odds to do so.
