After neither nations started their tournaments with wins, Spain and Poland look to put three important points on the board when they face off in Seville.
European Championship 2020
Date: 19/06/2021
Kickoff: 20:00
Venue: Estadio de La Cartuja
After a goalless Euro 2020 opener vs Sweden, which saw them claim over 85% of the possession, Spain will be out for goals against Poland. Spain had a plethora of chances to score past the Swedes but their finishing let them down every now and then.
Luis Enrique’s defence looks less than solid at times but perhaps Poland shouldn’t pose too much threat. If Spain go on to put away the chances they will create here, they shouldn’t have a problem here.
Poland were shocked 2-1 by Slovakia in their opener and were guilty of not getting the ball up to Robert Lewandowski.
Since Paulo Sousa appointment, Poland haven’t kept many clean sheets so they will need to find a way to get the ball to their star striker more in this game if they’re to outscore the Spanish. Another defeat here would make Poland’s chances of reaching the knockout stages like they did in 2016 almost impossible.
