REAL MADRID VS VILLAREAL MATCH PREVIEW AND BETTING TIPS

Home » News » REAL MADRID VS VILLAREAL MATCH PREVIEW AND BETTING TIPS

Real Madrid and Villarreal clash in this huge final game of the season with title aspirations very much on the line for the hosts.

La Liga 2020/2021
Date: 22/05/2021
Kick-off: 17:00
Venue: Estadio Alfredo di Stefano

For Real Madrid, the task is simple. Win. That’s the only way they’ll have a chance of retaining their La Liga title, and win for a record 35th time.

That said, they’d be needing some help too from Real Valladolid who play their neighbors Atletico as well, but Zinedine Zidane’s side must have to at least do their own part to have any hopes of ending this season with silverware.

Nacho Fernandez scored the lone goal in Real Madrid’s hard fought victory against Athletic Bilbao in their penultimate game of the season and Los Blancos would need to work hard again to secure victory in this game.

Whilst Real Madrid are playing for the league title, Unai Emery and Villarreal also have something somewhat significant to play for. Currently 7th in the league and just one point behind the two sides that occupy fifth & sixth positions, Villarreal would be looking for a win in an attempt to finish in the Europa League qualification spots and avoid the newly formed third tier of European football, the Europa Conference League.

After a comprehensive 4-0 last time out against Sevilla, Villarreal are looking to keep up the good form with a victory over the title contenders and thus, gain more confidence ahead of their Europa League final against Manchester United.
