Football is back! The new season of the Premier League starts today, and we got you covered with our match/betting preview.

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: Selhurst Park
Date: Friday, 5 August 2022 Kick-off: 8 PM BST

Patrick Vieira will be welcoming his former side when Crystal Palace hosts Arsenal to kick off the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Crystal Palace had a decent pre-season, winning three out of their five games, with the only loss coming against Man United. The Eagles have scored 12 goals and conceded eight during these games. Patrick Vieira would be delighted with the signings of Cheick Doucoure and Chris
Richards also faces a dilemma with his top choice goalkeeper Jack Butland and new signing Sam Johnstone, both set to miss the opener against the Gunners.

Arsenal, meanwhile, has been in terrific form in pre-season, scoring 20 goals and conceding only four whilst playing the likes of Everton, Chelsea and Sevilla. The Gunners scored ten goals alone in their last two games against Chelsea and Sevilla without conceding any. Summer signing Gabriel Jesus has hit the ground running for the Gunners, already finding the net seven times in five games. Mikel Arteta would be delighted with how things are going as the Gunners would want to kick off their season on a positive note, given last season’s disastrous start.

Head-to-Head

Crystal Palace and Arsenal have met on 26 occasions in the Premier League, with the Gunners historically dominating with 14 wins to their name. Palace has been on the winning side on four occasions, and both sides share points on eight occasions. The last time both sides shared the pitch ended with the Eagles taking all three points in a 3-0 victory at Selhurst Park.

Team News

Crystal Palace

Patrick Vieira faces a keeper crisis with Jack Butland (hand), and Sam Johnstone (quadriceps) remains side-lined, making Vicente Guaita the favourite to start at goal. James McArthur (hamstring) and Michael Olise (foot) are also set to miss the opener for the Eagles. Cheick Doucoure is braced to make his debut.

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has a clean bill of health except for the quartet of Emile Smith-Rowe (groin), Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kieran Tierney, and Fabio Vieira expected to miss the opening game for the Gunners. Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko are set to make their debuts.

Pre-season Form
Crystal Palace: L/W/D/W/W Arsenal: W/W/W/W/W

Predicted Lineup

Crystal Palace
GK: Vicente Guaita
DEF: Nathaniel Clyne – Joachim Anderson – Marc Guehi – Tyrick Mitchell MID: Jeffrey Schlupp – Cheick Doucoure – Luka Milivojevic – Eberechi Eze ATT: Odsonne Edouard – Wilfried Zaha

Betting Preview

Crystal Palace has had a decent pre-season, and so did Arsenal, who have been scoring goals for fun with new signing Gabriel Jesus scoring seven goals in five games. Although Arsenal have ended their pre-season on a high, they seem to have a slow start to their season, which is why, for today’s bet, we are offering odds @1.80 for both teams to score and odds @15.00 for Crystal Palace to win 2-1 against the Gunners

Fulham vs Liverpool

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: Craven Cottage
Date: Saturday, 6 August 2022 Kick-off: PM BST

Liverpool has been handed the responsibility of welcoming newly promoted sides yet again as they travel to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham.

Fulham has been promoted to the Premier League for the third time in six years, and the goal remains the same as six years ago, to survive in the Premier League. Fulham manager Marco Silva stressed the need for signings being key to surviving relegation in the Premier League and will be delighted with some of the names being Joao Palhinha, Andreas Pereira and Bernd Leno, all adding quality to the Cottagers. Fulham will be looking to pull an early upset on Liverpool, who wouldn’t want to lose a single point this time around after falling short of the Premier League title by a single point once again last season.

Liverpool began their pre-season with defeat to rivals Man United but caught their rhythm soon enough, ending their pre-season with a brilliant 3-1 win over rivals Man City to win the FA Community Shield. The Reds have been in the headlines throughout the summer after losing Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich and spending a fortune on Darwin Nunez, who sealed the win for Liverpool by scoring in the final minutes to lift the Community Shield. The Reds are once again favourites along with Man City to lift the Premier League title, but the lack of depth in midfield will be a concern for Jurgen Klopp’s men given the number of games in between now and the end of the season.

Head-to-Head

Fulham and Liverpool have played each other 30 times in the Premier League, with Liverpool
being the more dominant side with 18 wins. Fulham has been victorious on seven occasions
and five draws between them. The last encounter between the two sides resulted in Fulham
taking all three points in a 1-0 win, with Mario Lemina being the lone scorer of the match.

Betting Preview

Fulham have been promoted for the third time in six seasons, and we do see some Aleksandar Mitrovic masterclass in the initial games, a win against Liverpool would be too much of an ask. This is a game with only one likely outcome, which is why we are offering the best bet for today’s football with odds of @10.00 for Liverpool to win 1-2 against Fulham.

AFC Bournemouth vs Aston Villa

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: Dean Court
Date: Saturday, 6 August 2022 Kick-off : 3 PM BST

Bournemouth will be welcomed to the Premier League by Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.

Being active in the transfer market is considered to be one of the most important factors for surviving relegation for newly promoted teams. Such isn’t the case for the Cherries, who have added only three names to the squad. Bournemouth manager Scott Parker might like to add a few more, considering their opponents Aston Villa have strengthened massively this summer.

Aston Villa has made some serious signings this summer, starting with Philippe Coutinho, whom they triggered the buy option for after a successful loan at Villa Park. They have also signed.
Boubacar Kamara from Marseille and Diego Carlos from Sevilla make them a team to watch as they aim for European football.

Head-to-Head

Bournemouth and Aston Villa have previously met only four times in the Premier League, with
the Cherries being victorious on three occasions. The last encounter between the two sides was back in 2020, with the Cherries taking all three points in a 2-1 win over the Villans.

Pre-season form
Bournemouth: W/W/L/L/L Aston Villa: W/W/W/D/W Predicted lineup

Bournemouth
GK: Mark Travers
DEF: Chris Mepham – James Hill – Lloyd Kelly – Adam Smith

Aston Villa
GK: Emiliano Martinez
DEF: Matty Cash – Ezri Konsa – Diego Carlos – Lucas Digne MID: John McGinn – Boubacar Kamara – Jacob Ramsey ATT: Leon Bailey – Ollie Watkins – Philippe Coutinho

Betting Preview

Newly promoted side Bournemouth don’t fill us up with confidence considering their form and
transfer activity. Meanwhile, Aston Villa seemed to have added some ruthlessness with their
activity in the transfer market. We expect Aston Villa to pick all three points in this clash. We have the best bets on football and are offering odds @2.00 for an Aston Villa win with odds
@9.50 for Aston Villa to win 1-2 against the Cherries

Newcastle vs Nottingham Forest

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: St. James’ Park
Date: Saturday, 6 August 2022 Kick-off : 3 PM BST

Newcastle’s upward trajectory seems to have made a halt in the summer as they were expected to be one of the most active teams in the transfer window. The Magpies, who were under relegation threat, made an immediate impact under the new owners, easily finishing above the relegated sides. The signings of Chris Wood and Bruno Guimaraes were pivotal in their bid to survive relegation last season. The Magpies have signed the likes of Nick Pope and Sven Botman, but there is I hope that they will be looking at adding some more faces.

The same can’t be said for Nottingham Forest, who has been one of the most spending sides in the Premier League, this summer, buying a new XI including the likes of Jesse Lingard, Dean
Henderson, Neco Williams and Omar Richards. Forest manager Steve Cooper is determined
the make the most out of this opportunity after being promoted to the Premier League for the
first time in 23 years.

Head-to-Head

Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest have previously met in the Premier League on eight
occasions, with the Magpies winning five of those and three draws between them. The last
encounter between the two sides was way back in 1999, which ended with Newcastle winning
2-1 against Forest.

Last five matches(H2H):

Nottingham Forest
GK: Dean Henderson
DEF: Neco Williams – Joe Worrall – Moussa Niakhate – Scott McKenna – Harry Toffolo MID: Jack Colback – Lewis O’Brien – Jesse Lingard
ATT: Brennan Johnson – Taiwo Awoniyi

Betting Preview

Newly promoted Nottingham Forest has some fight in them, with Forest improving the squad
massively in terms of quantity and some quality. Forest does have some fight in them, but it seems to fall short of Newcastle’s quality signings. This one seems to have written 3 points for Newcastle is all over it. We are offering the best betting today with odds @1.66 for a Magpies win and odds @13.00 for Newcastle to win 3-0 against Forest.

Tottenham vs Southampton

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Date: Saturday, 6 August 2022
Kick-off : 3 PM BST

Antonio Conte did the near impossible for Spurs last season after managing to finish in the top 4 after what was a terrible start to their season. Spurs, in a bid to retain Antonio Conte, promised him signings, and they have kept their word by adding top players like Ivan Perisic, Richarlison, Yves Bissouma and Clement Lenglet. The morale at Tottenham is at an all-time high as Spurs look set to create obstacles in the path of title challengers Man City and Liverpool.
Southampton, meanwhile, has done what they do best, pick up the young players with potential and give them a platform to show their skills. Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has been a
great appointment in terms of bringing stability, although he has the annual 9-0 loss in him.
Saints have been smart in the market yet again, bringing in the duo of Gavin Bazunu and Romeo Lavia from Man City along with the likes of Joe Aribo and Sekou Mara.

Head-to-Head

Tottenham and Southampton have shared the pitch 46 times in the Premier League, with Spurs
coming out on top on 24 occasions. The Saints have won 14 times with eight draws between them. The last encounter between the two sides resulted in a 5-goal thriller, with Southampton winning 3-2 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Betting Preview

Tottenham looks the real deal this season with Antonio Conte being provided with the players he
asked for. Spurs had the quality, but now they have also added depth which is where they are
favourites ahead of Southampton for this tie. With the addition of the five substitution rule, things don’t look good for the Saints. We are offering bets for today’s football with odds @1.61 over 2.5 goals and odds @9.50 for Spurs to win 2-1 against the Saints

Leeds United vs Wolves

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: Elland Road
Date: Saturday, 6 August 2022
Kick-off : 3 PM BST

The summer of Leeds United has been more about departures rather than signings, with two key players, Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, departing the Whites. The Raphinha saga will be one for the ages as he managed to sign for his dream club Barcelona which also enabled Leeds to sign the likes of Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Tyles Adams. Wolves, on the other hand, have only signed Nathan Collins and now face a tough challenge against sides who have improved significantly. Wolves’ top striker Raul Jimenez has also been ruled out with injury and will miss the start of the season.

Head-to-Head

Leeds United and Wolves have shared the pitch in the Premier League on six occasions, with Wolves having the edge with three wins compared to Leeds’ two and one draw between them. The last encounter between the two sides resulted in a 3-2 victory for the Peacocks courtesy of an injury-time winner by Luke Ayling.

Betting Preview

Leeds have invested significantly into their squad after surviving relegation last season. Even
with the departures of some key players, they have managed to bring in the number. Wolves
haven’t invested as heavily as Leeds but have retained all their key players ahead of this
season. Our betting experts have offered odds @1.57 for a Wolves double chance(win or draw)
and odds @1.80 for both teams to score. We have odds of @7.00 for this match to be a draw.

Everton vs Chelsea

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: Goodison Park
Date: Saturday, 6 August 2022 Kick-off: PM BST

Goodison Park is home to the clash between two sides who have been all over the place in
pre-season, with Everton set to face Chelsea in their opening league game of the season.
Everton has been on a roller coaster ride during the pre-season, starting with three consecutive losses and conceding 11 goals while managing to score only one. The Toffees did make a comeback, winning their next two fixtures but scoring eight goals whilst conceding 13 at the same time isn’t what Frank Lampard was planning for. Everton hasn’t been done any favours as they lost their star striker Richarlison to Spurs, and to add insult to injury, Dominic Calvert-Lewin injured his knee, for which he is set to be out for some time. Though Everton has added some new faces with the likes of James Tarkowski, Dwight McNeil and Ruben Vinagre, there isn’t much optimism among the Evertonians ahead of the new season.

Chelsea, meanwhile, has been a little less chaotic compared to Everton, but it’s the “new
season, same problems” for the Blues as Thomas Tuchel seems unable to find a solution for the misfiring attacking line with the Blues struggling to find the net in pre-season. The Blues have scored eight goals and conceded eight in five games which aren’t great considering Chelsea’s high standards. The additions of Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly have been positive, but the attacking unit has been a concern with Todd Boehly attempting all sorts of tricks up his sleeves in the transfer market to find solutions.

Head-to-Head

Everton and Chelsea have previously met in the Premier League on 60 occasions, with the
Blues have the upper hand on 27 occasions. The Toffees have won 13 times, and 20 draws in between them. The last encounter between the two sides ended in a 1-0 victory for Everton, with Richarlison scoring the only goal of the match.

Betting Preview

Chelsea has been spending crazy in the market to add significant quality to their squad.
Even though there has been an upgrade in defence, the attack still looks rather weak. Everton
has lost some key players this season, and like Chelsea, their attack seems to be a bit off too at the moment. Our football bets of the day include odds @2.20 for Everton’s double chance(win or draw) and odds @29.00 for Everton to win 2-0.

Leicester City vs Brentford

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: King Power Stadium Date: Sunday, 7 August 2022 Kick-off: PM BST

Leicester City remains the only side in the Premier League not to register any incomings yet, and things haven’t looked bright at the King Power. The Foxes have lost one of the leaders of the dressing room in Kasper Schmeichel and are set to lose Youri Tielemans this summer. On
top of that, Leicester is facing strong interest in some of their players, like James Maddison and Wesley Fofana. Maddison has been subject to two bids from Newcastle, who the Foxes have
been able to resist so far, but there is fear among the higher-ups that Wesley Fofana could be on the move as Chelsea has arrived to take their annual Leicester player following Ngolo Kante, Danny Drinkwater and Ben Chilwell deals.

Brentford, on the other side, is known for their smart scouting system where they are able to buy good players for very low prices, and so is the case yet again as the Bees have added the likes of Ben Mee, Thomas Strakosha and Aaron Hickey to their team. The Bees finished on 13th place comfortably last season, and this time around, Thomas Frank would certainly be looking to build on it and push for a top-half finish.

Head-to-Head

Leicester City and Brentford have faced each other two times in the Premier League, with the Foxes winning both the home and away fixtures last season.

Pre-season Form
Leicester City: D/W/W/W/W Brentford: L/D/L/W/W

Leicester City
GK: Danny Ward
DEF: Timothy Castagne – Wesley Fofana – Jonny Evans – James Justin

Brentford
GK: David Raya
DEF: Aaron Hickey – Pontus Jansson – Ben Mee – Rico Henry
MID: Christian Norgaard – Mathias Jensen – Vitaly Janelt – Yoane Wissa ATT: Bryan Mbuemo – Ivan Toney

Betting Preview

Leicester City has started the season being behind as compared to last season, losing key
players and failing to replace them so far. However, their squad quality still remains superior to Brentford, who themselves are always efficient at recruiting players. We are offering free football betting with odds @2.00 for a Foxes win and odds of @9.50 for Leicester to win 2-1

Man United vs Brighton

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: Old Trafford
Date: Sunday, 7 August 2022 Kick-off: 2 PM BST

Man United will be coming for revenge after that embarrassing 4-0 defeat against Brighton at the end of last season.

Manchester United have had a good pre-season, but it has been shadowed by things happening
off the pitch, starting from the Frenkie De Jong saga to Cristiano Ronaldo wanting to leave, and even if that’s not enough, the dressing room leaks are there to fill the gaps. New united manager Erik Ten Haag has already been given a taste of the Manchester United way even before the start of the season. The Red Devils did sign the likes of Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia, but they are more of squad depth signings rather than significantly improving what they already have. Although there isn’t much optimism among the fans, there is the belief that Erik Ten Haag can get the best out of these players and hopefully bring Champions League football back to Old Trafford.

Things haven’t been bright at Brighton, too, as you could argue they have regressed in terms of quality of players since the 4-0 victory over Man United. The Seagulls have lost Yves Bissouma to Spurs and are about to lose Marc Cucurella to Chelsea. Although, they will be getting
Chelsea youngster Levi Colwill is on loan, but that might not be enough to take on Man United. It remains to be seen if they will go for any other additions, but you cannot doubt Graham Potter’s ability to create something out of nothing.

Head-to-Head

Manchester United and Brighton have faced each other ten times in the Premier League, with the
Red Devils were victorious on seven occasions. Brighton have won three times, including their
last encounter where the Seagulls embarrassed the Red Devils in a 4-0 victory at the Amex
Stadium.

Pre-season Form
Man United: W/W/L/D

Betting Preview

Man United have been very direct and efficient in the pre-season, with manager Erik Ten Haag
already implementing his philosophy. The Red Devils have been adding depth to the squad, and
there are expectations that more additions will come. Brighton having to beat Man United last
season, are underdogs heading into this clash after losing key players in the transfer window.
This match is likely to end with the Reds of Manchester going home with all 3 points. This is one of the games to bet on as our experts are offering odds @1.60 for a Manchester United win and odds of @9.00 for the Red Devils to win 2-1

West Ham vs Man City

Premier League 2022/23
Venue: London Stadium
Date: Sunday, 7 August 2022 Kick-off: PM BST

The goal for West Ham every summer transfer window is to protect their key players whilst also signing new faces, which they have been able to perform so far, resisting any interest for Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen, also signing Nayef Aguerd and Gianluca Scamacca to provide
competition in defence and attack. The Hammers last season was in touching distance of
claiming the Europa League spots but fell short, and this season could be the one where West Ham dethrone one of the top 6 sides.

Manchester City have had quite a debatable pre-season selling a few important squad players
without replacing them, losing the Community Shield to Liverpool but also signing Erling Braut
Haaland and Julian Alvarez. There have been mixed opinions regarding the sales of Raheem
Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, especially the later one as Man City, had
already been playing without a proper left-back and now selling one of their left-back options
without actually signing a replacement. But we know how Pep works, right? He went through a
whole season without a proper striker, so he can go another season without a proper left-back
right? On the positive side, City added English International Kalvin Phillips as a replacement
for the departing Fernandinho and signed Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez as striking options.
Although Man City usually seem to start the season slowly, they do know how to finish the
farthest.

Head-to-Head

West Ham United and Man City have shared pitch 42 in the Premier League, with City being victorious on 25 of the fixtures. The Hammers have won nine times, with both sides sharing
points on eight occasions. The last encounter between the two sides resulted in a 2-2 draw, with Jarrod Bowen bagging a brace for the Hammers.

Last five matches(H2H):
West Ham United: 0 Man City: 3
Draw: 2

Pre-season Form
West Ham: D/D/L/D/D
Man City: D/W/W/W/L

Predicted lineup

West Ham United
GK: Alphonse Areola
DEF: Vladimir Coufal – Craig Dawson – Kurt Zouma – Aaron Cresswell MID: Declan Rice – Tomas Soucek – Pablo Fornals

Man City
GK: Ederson
DEF: Kyle Walker – Ruben Dias – Nathan Ake – Joao Cancelo MID: Bernardo Silva – Rodri – Kevin De Bruyne
ATT: Riyadh Mahrez – Erling Haaland – Phil Foden

Betting Preview

West Ham United are likely to bring up their ‘A’ game while looking to pull an upset. Although
the Hammers can’t match the squad quality of Man City, they do have one or two trucks up their
sleeves to shock the opposition. Man City, however, won’t be doing West Ham any favours as
they realize the importance of early wins could determine the fate of their title race. Our experts are offering free sports betting with odds @2.10 over 2.5 goals & BTTS and odds @9.50 for Man City to win 1-2
