Date: Saturday 11th, January
Kick-off: 16:00
Venue: Old Trafford
TV Channel: Sky Sports

Manchester United were soundly beaten 3-1 by their city counterparts in their League cup semifinal first leg meeting here on Tuesday, a defeat which ended a run of 13 home games unbeaten in all competitions.

The Red Devils showed a lot more urgency in the final third during the second period of that game, pulling one back but will now summon confidence from somewhere having now failed to win any of their last three matches (D1, L2).

Norwich scored an impressive 4-2 win versus Preston North End in the FA last time out, and their confidence will understandably be high. The Canaries have not won any of their last eight league games (D4, L4) and will be looking to upset the odds in Manchester.

They managed one (1-2) the last time they visited the Theatre of Dreams in 2015, but that has been their only win over Manchester United since 2013 at any venue.

Betting preview

Norwich have been involved in a lot of high-scoring games this season and there is a chance this one will equally feature goals. Back an over 2.5 goals to play out at 8/15.

Manchester United are big favourites at a modest 1/3, but if you’re looking to make better value on the hosts, you can back them to be winning at halftime/full time for a slightly better 21/20.
