Manchester United vs Everton – Premier League 2018/19

Man United’s struggles continue as another week of disappointing results go by. The Red Devils drew 2-2 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the weekend before losing 1-0 to Juventus at home in midweek. The performance at Stamford Bridge was appreciated by the fans and many pundits after they witnessed some great counter attacking football to halt Chelsea and almost took all three points until it was the 96th minute when Ross Barkley tapped one past David de Gea to score the equaliser. Despite the draw, there was a belief among the fans that Man United can turn their season around. It was all until they lost 1-0 to Juventus at home, with Paulo Dybala scoring the only goal of the match. The Red Devils lost all the momentum they gained in the weekend, which sums up their whole season.

Meanwhile, Everton travel to Manchester in search of a rare win at the Old Trafford. The Toffees have been in decent form under Marco Silva this season. A 2-0 win in the weekend against Crystal Palace is a boost to their confidence ahead of the trip to Old Trafford. Marco Silva has experimented with this Everton squad before coming up with the perfect combination. The trio of Bernard Sigurdsson and Walcott makes the attack more dynamic and flexible. The backline looks pretty solid with Coleman and Lucas Digne as the fullbacks, providing the attacking threat from wide positions. The centre backs Michael Keane and Kurt Zouma complement each other quite well and have looked pretty sharp. This combination however, is not familiar to Richarlison. Richarlison, who played as a left winger for most of his career has been given a more advanced position by Marco Silva. While he’s still adapting, Richarlison has the qualities to become a great centre forward for his team.

Man United are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with the trio of Rashford Mata Martial featuring in midfield and Romelu Lukaku playing up front. The decision to drop Fred and play Juan Mata has given them an attacking boost in the midfield.

Everton are expected to line up in the same 4-2-3-1 formation with the dynamic trio of Bernard Sigurdsson Walcott playing in an advanced midfield position behind Richarlison. On-loan Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, who was given a start ahead of Tom Davies has impressed and could be set to feature again at Old Trafford.

Betting Preview :

The problems at Manchester United are no secret and pressure continues to mount on the players and boss Jose Mourinho. They come into this game on the back of a loss to Juventus in the Champions League and a game that probably felt like a loss at Chelsea last weekend. United were winning that one until a late goal bagged Chelsea a point, that was a bitter blow for The Red Devils.

Everton have won their last three games in what has been an improved showing from them. They look to have enough to trouble Manchester United, and certainly look capable of scoring at Old Trafford, which makes the both teams to score bet look a good one on Sunday.

One shining light for Manchester United this season has been the play of Juan Mata, and while others have struggled to get going, he has played very well. He looks a nice price to score at any time in the game against an Everton defence who are not the most solid.

With both teams looking likely to score, this could end in a score draw, with 2-2 appealing the most, and something that is available to back at a huge price. This looks like it could be a very entertaining game on Sunday afternoon, with goals likely for both teams, and 2-2 a potential correct score.

Suggested Bets :

* Both teams to score @ 3/4

* Juan Mata to score anytime @ 10/3

* Manchester United 2-2 Everton @ 16/1
