Juventus are on course to win their ninth successive scudetto with a victory here, and they are undoubtedly heavy favourites to pull it off against Sampdoria.
Serie A 2019/2020
Date: Sunday July, 26
Kick-off: 20:45
Venue: Allianz Stadium
Juventus would have sewn up the title in the last round, having needed just three points to mathematically clinch it but somehow managed to throw away all three points at the death in a 2-1 away loss to Udinese.
Matthijs de Ligt had given the Old Lady a first half lead in Udine, but their opposition came roaring back after the break to turn the game on its head and stun their illustrious visitors.
Fortunately, they get another chance here and Maurizio Sarri’s side will be confident of getting the job done on home soil this weekend. With Atalanta only managing a draw with AC Milan on Saturday, a win here for Juve inevitably opens up an unassailable lead with two games to round off the campaign.
Sampdoria, meanwhile, will enter the clash in relatively impressive form, having won five of their last seven league games to ease any relegation fears that might have reared its ugly head last month.
Three success losses in their first three games just after the lockdown had them staring trouble in the face, but Claudio Ranieri’s side have been in excellent form since the start of July.
A total of 41 points from 35 matches has left Samp 14th on the standings, nine points clear of the relegation zone and actually only two off the top half of the division (and there are still as many as two games to play).
After losing to Genoa last time out, they will not have fond memories of facing this opposition either, having fell 2-1 the last time they squared off in this season’s reverse fixture.

Betting tips
Juventus will be determined to return to winning ways following the disappointment of the Udinese result, and we are finding it incredibly difficult to back against a home victory here.
So we like to back the Old Lady to pick up the three points that they need to secure a ninth straight league title, a win which is priced at odds of 2/7.
Cristiano Ronaldo is 4/9 to score anytime here, and you will expect him to play an important role in the Bianconeri’s charge for the crown.
