FINLAND V BELGIUM MATCH PREVIEW AND BETTING TIPS

Home » News » FINLAND V BELGIUM MATCH PREVIEW AND BETTING TIPS

Finland go in search of at least a point in St Petersburg to stand a chance of qualification, but can they achieve that up against a Belgian side raring to go?

European Championship 2020
Date: 21/06/2021
Kick-off: 20:00 pm
Venue: Gazprom Arena

Finland after opening their campaign with that 1-0 win over Denmark, fell to the same scoreline last time out versus Russia and now run the risk of falling out at the first stage.

Thus, they will need to win now to secure a round of 16 place, although a draw might just be enough if bottom-placed Denmark beat Russia in one of the group’s final fixture.

On the face of it, they will feel confident taking on FIFA’s best team, having not lost to Belgium since 1968 (W4, D3).

Belgium’s comeback against Belgium put them through to the next round, and now they will be needing just a draw to win the group.

Having beaten the better ranked teams in Group B, there is every chance Roberto Martinez’s men maintain a perfect record in this competition going into the knockouts. With Kevin De Bruyne back firing on all cylinders, and the returns of Eden Hazard and Axel Witsel, it could be a long evening for the Finns in St Petersburg.

Betting tips

Finland play the game of their lives when they face Belgium here, as their survival in this competition hinges on this game. But it will be termed an upset should Belgium not emerge from here with a win, particularly with their stars De Bruyne and Hazard set for their first starts of the tournament.

At odds of 3/10, Belgium are favoured to claim another victory here.
